How to use Spirometer?

 

  1. Sit straight and hold the Spirometer
  2. Breathing out : Exhale all the air from lungs
  3. Put the mouthpiece in the mouth and close lips tightly around the mouthpiece
    Note: Inhale air only to the mouth
  4. Breathing In: Inhale air deeply and slowly through the mouth. When taking deep breath, it will raise the piston. If user can not take a deep breath any longer, take the mouth piece out of the mouth.
  5. Hold your breath for up to 5 seconds then loosen lips from mouthpiece and breath out slowly
  6. Take few breaths when piston return to bottom of the cylinder
  7. Repeat these steps for 10 times. Get piston higher in every cycle.
